Kate is a Senior Attorney and Deputy Director of NRDCâs New York program. She is also the director of NRDCâs national Community Fracking Defense Project. In addition to her work to address the impacts of expanded oil and gas production nationwide, Kate also works on advancing recycling programs involving the producer responsibility model, as well as other energy and land use matters. Prior to joining NRDC in November 2006, she was a partner in the specialty environmental law firm of Sive, Paget & Riesel, P.C. Kate has taught Environmental Law at Columbia University and Fordham University Schools of Law. She sits on the boards of the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance and the New York Product Stewardship Council. Kate is a graduate of New York University Law School, the Woodrow Wilson School of International and Public Affairs at Princeton University, and Barnard College.
